The early years, the journal "the world of music" started as Bulletin of the International music council, edited by Jack Bornoff, John Evarts and Egon Kraus.
1967 it was renamed to "the world of music. Quarterly Journal fo the International Music Council ...).
Later in 1988 the journal "the world of music" was edited by Max Peter Baumann.
Birgit Abels (Department of Musicology at the Georg-August University Göttingen) became his successor 2012, nowadays accompanied by Barbara Titus as co-editor.
The VWB-Verlag für Wissenschaft und Bildung published the journals since 1996 and is still publishing printed issues.
Max Peter Baumann summarized all issues up to 2010 in this bibliography (with 799 pages), which was available as printed version - some will be available second hand somewhere.
